At the ciose of his sermon at Dunedin on Sunday night last, when he denounced gambling, the Rev R. Waddel, of St. Andrew's Church, called upon everyone willing to make a solemn promise never to make or take a bet or visit a racecourse to stand np. The whole congregation, with two or three exception*, Btood up.
