FENCING.

(to the editor.) Sir, —I forward you this information, as it may be valuable to so'me of your readers. Mr John Carey leased a section of bush land on the Puniho Road, which was bounded by a native reserve, vested in common with other native lands in the Public Trustee. Mr Carew, having felled, burnt, and grassed a portion of His section, applied to the Public Trustee to erect his portion of the fence between their sections. The Trustee replied that he would pay one half of the cost of erecting a legal fence on the dividing line, which was done, and the half cost paid.—-I am, &c, - Lessee.
