Taranaki Rugby Union.
The annual meeting of the above Union was held on Thursday evening. Present—Messrs A. Bayly (Stratford, in the chair), S. Humphries (Stars, New Plymouth), E. Lucena(Hawera), SpurdJe (Clifton), B. Glenn(Waimate), Rauche (Patea), F. C. Smith (hon sec), and W. G. White (hon treasurer). ■■ -i The report was adopted, as also the balance sheet showing a credit balance of £2O.
The election of officers resulted as follows : President, Mr G.T. Bayly (reelected ; treasurer, Mr W. G. White (reelected ; secretary, Mr F. C.' Smith (reelected ; management : committee, Messrs J. Glenn, E. Lucena, and S. Humphries ; match committee, Messrs G. Syme, jun., A. Bayly, andß. Tate; assistant secretary for junior work, Mr R. Gillespie, New Plymouth : committee for juniors, Messrs Spurdle, Beane, and E. Young. The question of representation of clubs was lengthily discussed,' and it was eventually decided that .senior teams have two votes and junior dteams one.
It was also resolved that the Union classify all teams.—Star.
