AKE AKE FOOTBALL CLUB.
(OUE OWN CORRESPONDENT.) The annual general meeting of the above Club was held on Saturday evening last at Mr Swinnerton’s store. There were about fifteen present, Mr J. Colmer occupying the chair. It was resolvedjihat the Club be reformed, and continued under the old name and colours. The following officers were elected J President, Mr W. C. Phillips; Vicepresidents, Messrs T. McGloin, A. T, Wills, and J. Wagstaff; Captain, Mr A. Lusk ; Vice-captain, Mr R. Hill; Hon. See. and Treas., Mr M. West. The late Secretary, Mr M. Simeon, here put in an appearance, and explained to the meeting that there was a satisfactory credit balance from last season’s operations. The following were elected as a committee :—Messrs Bradley, _ Armstrong, Oxenham, and M. Simeon, with the officers ex tfjicio. Match Committee —Messrs Lusk, Bradley, and Hill. The subscription was fixed at 2s 6d. About thirty names were enrolled, and eleven came up to the scratch on the spot with the “ tin*” It was resolved to hold the first practice on Saturday next. A few other little matters were dealt with, and with the usual compliment to the chair the meeting terminated.
