A correspondent in the Wellington Post draws attention to the handicap the colony \> suffers under by the reason of high freights /" Home, and asks-what can New Zealand do in the outward trade with the neighboring tropical countries if our freightage from Home is cast at 20b to 303 a ton dearer than Sydney freights ? It is suggested that unless something is done the North German Lloyds or French Messageries lines should be asked to enter the trade.
