MILK CONDENSING.

We are informed that negotiations are in progress between a Preserving Company in Otago and Mr Macßeynolds, of Pungarehu, with a view to leasing or purchasing his property situated on the Otahi River, near Opunake, for the purpose of establishing a milk condensing factory. There could not be a better site selected for such a purpose, and the establishment of such an industry in the viciuity of the township would be of great benefit to the settlers. There is a very large and increasing trade being done in preserved milk, and a factory established here would be able to procure a supply of milk the whole year through.
