He is by Puriri, by Treason, out of Bishop of Osnaburgh mare. Being by that sterling sire Puriri, who sired such winners as Foresters, Jenny, Escapade, Eufus, Corsair, Rob Roy, and a host of others, he should, if properly mated, be able to leave some very useful crosscountry horses, and his hacks from ordinary mares are hard to beat. His dam's sire, Treason, has also left a good number of winners. While in training Rata won the Maiden at Manaia, and ran into a place on several- occasions. Terms : £1 10s.
