Annual Examination of Pupil Teachers and Cadets.
(Chronicle.) There were in all 60 candidates examined—ls first class, 16 second class, and 29 third class. In the first class two failed, in the second class four, and in the third class 12 candidates failed .to obtain the requisite percentage of* marks. The candidate in each class who scores the highest percentage of marks in the compulsory subjects.receives a bonus of £3. FIRST CLASS. (1) Percy Jackson, Hawera, 81*4 and 79 - 6. (2) W. E. Hird, Okaiawa, 77 - 6 and 75-2. (8) Marion Gane,< Normanby, 68*5 and. 63;1. ■' ' SECOND CLASS. (1) Christine Snelling, Manaia-, 79-6 and 78*7. (4) Ethel George, Hawera, 74-5 and 68‘1. THIRD CLASS. (1) Alice Bartlett, Otakeho, 82 and 80-7. (2j Jane McMeckin, Waverley, 77*3 and 76’4. (3) Mary Hunger, Te Roti, 78-3 and 72-2. (7) Julia Caldwell, Waverley, 64-7 and 65*8.
(8) Lottie Crowhurst, Manaia, 64-4 and CO.
(12) Daniel Thurston, Waverley, 01 -1 and SG-8. (IS) Leo Espagne, Hawera, GO-7 and 60-2.
