The crossing at the Punehu, Eltham Road, is closed for wheel traflic since Thursday last. . . A meeting of the members of the Opunake Brass Band will be held in the band-room on Tuesday 17th inst. A meeting of the parishioners of the Church of England is called for next Thursday evening in the schoolroom. The plaus for the new church have been received by the Kev J. W. Chapman, and will be submitted to the meeting. A full attendance of all adherants is requested as it is proposed to take immediate steps to proceed with the work.
