When supplies of crated Spitfires arrive at Casablanca, gangs of skilled workers —airmen and local workmen —are there to meet them. The complex mechanism is unpacked and tile components' assembled. Each man has his job and long practice has made him perfect at it. In record time the fighters take oil recognisable form, complete with their weapons in fighting trim. Test pilots take over and put them through their paces in a series of searching tests. the ferry pilots fly them to the place where Allied air strategy can use them to best purpose. A ferry pilot delivering the Spitfire to its operational base, passes over the famous city of hez.
