Balfour, in a speech said: “Never has a force proved a greater challenge to the powers of Nazi evil than the Royal Air Force. Never has there been a force with strongei to be an overseas force. Twenty per cent, of the pilots were from the Dominions before. To-day the proportion is higher. “The first Eagle Squadron of volunteers from tho United States was recently formed. Our squadrons daily fight alongside Polish, Czech, and Free F’rench forces. “The Royal Air Force in the past two months has achieved great victories.”
