PARS MENTIONING DUNLOP TYRES.

Every rider purchasing a new machine should include one of the Dunlop -midget repair outfits in his tool bag equipment. These are neat, compact, and serviceable, and contain all the material necessary for any ordinary tyre repair.

Armstrong made his first appearance as a professional in this country in his five miles' ride against the watch on the opening day at Olympia. Two trials were at those distances, and each time the National A.C. man looked as thought he was never really hard pushed. He had a nasty spill in the second trial, touching a pacing tandem's wheel, and sliding twenty yards or so on his head. He was up in a moment and mounted, but dizziness overcame him and he fell. He pluckily mounted again, and this time finished the ride, getting a tremendous reception. He continues daily to give marvellous exhibitions of pace on his cycle, which is of course fitted with the speedy Dunlop tyre.

The following amusing incident actually took place the other day. Scene: a Dublin theatre, scholars all assembled in a schoolroom act. Question by the master : "Where is the capital of Ireland situated ?" Response from one of the scholars : "In the Dunlop Tyre Company, sir !" That scholar should go up in bis class.
