Dear Madam, • ■.- I am not sure your correspondent (Disgusted's^ "statement of facts" is reliable, for he staled that some one else wrote ray letter which was false, though m this "case his statement may be true, as I have no doubt there is more than one selfish person m the world. Disgusted > has &.sked me : a question that is .wdrtbyof a man of the world, and a selfish uncharitable one at that; and if I- were not sure he is a professor of religion' t should hesitate to quote scripture to him ,
but if he will turn to 2nd. Corinthians 9th. chapter, 7th. verse he will find the answer (viz) The reward that benevolent people desire, and satisfied those who contributed to the Indian and Brunner fuuds, I think they did not call it a case of cadging ; however, ticket selling and asking for donations are quite different things, it was the former I said received its value.
