Supply and Delivery of Birch
Timber. Tenders will be received at the head office up to noon Monday 24th June for the supply and delivery of Sawn Birch Timber on the Christchuroh section. We copy the above advertisement from an opposition paper, not circulated in a Birch timber-growing district, and although we do &ot as a rule give free advertisements, we do so on this occasion for the benefit of our Oxford friends, as we hope they will be fortunate enough lo get some of their tenders accepted. Up to the present time they have been singularly unfortunate notwithstanding we have two Members to represent ihe district who are doing their level best to get a share of Railway timber contracts and further in many other ways the interest of fche District.
