The Hon. Mr Seddon during his late visit to the Coast, drew the attention of the Saw-niiilers to the suicidal competition of those engaged m the timber trade and he reviewed m term.=> of reproach, the cut throat policy adopted. This suicidal competition of oh the part of Sawraillers, referred to by the Premier, has helped m no small degree to re.luco the profits of the Oxford Timber Merchants, let us
hope they will now make a stand and form some sort of an Association to protect their own interest. Oxford Timber should increase m price and demand, and it is therefore unwise to cut down the price for the sake of a small present margin of profit.
