OXFORD ROAD BOARD.

This Board held their last ordinary meeting on 2nd inst. Mr A. Wright (Chairman) and all members present. The following correspondence was dealt with Eaiapoi. From Borough Council claiming £14. 17s being at the rate of £8 14s 3d for each Hotel as the Board's share of the Licensing election expenses. Board declined to pay until a detail account had been furnished. From Charitable Aid Board claiming Board's contribution for the year £93 5s -id. Same from Hospital Board claiming £70 18s 6d. From Mr Paget complaining of the fence across Fisher's road, Board has given no permission to fence it. From S. W. River Board with information that this Board can be supplied with osiers at cost of cutting and delivery. From Mr Meredith consenting to exchange of land for diversion of Thompson's road. From Mr Knowles. asking permission to. run sheep in Board's plantation and in return to keep plantation and fences in order, Granted. A delay and inconvenience has been caused by contractors failing in carrying out their contracts, special caution will be exercised by the Board in letting work for the future. The following Tenders were accepted Contract No. 483, clearing scrub — W. Farelly £7. No. 482. Thompson's Cutting, G. Durant £20. accepted conditionally. Accounts to the amount of £123. were passed for payment and theßoard adjourned.
