EAST OXFORD
The annual election of the school committee was held m the schoolroom. Very few householders were present, the secretary read minutes of last annual meeting also the balanoe sheet as follows: — Balance from last year £14 5s lOd Salaries £486 13s Id Insedental £59 Os Od £559 18s. lid Balance m band £9 Os Od On the motion of Mr Ingram seconded by Mr Mitchell last years committee were re-elected The Inspectors reports were not read, but any householder was invited to look over them if they felt so disposed. WEST OXFORD SCHOOL COMMITTEE. At the Annual meeting of the West Oxford School a statement was read purposeing to be a Report and balance Sheet, but from which nothing could be gathered except that the Bank balance was about £15. Mr Charlesworth was voted to the Chair and the following gentlemen were elected as a Committee: — Messrs W. G. Webster (Chr.), Charlesworth, Fisher, Kennedy, Munn, Knowles and Wratt. The proceedings throughout were not of a very refined character and would have been a little worse bad not one of the ex-committee bottled up his wrath to keep it w ? arm, till he got on torthe footpath.
