BARTON'S NEW CIRCUS.
Tuesday next, the J9th inst, will see the opening in. Paeroa of Barton's new Circus, and, as the management claim to present a show entirely new, so far as the ring performers are^concerned, a bumper house should result... Though the show is ne,w s except for the animals, the management is the same, and Mr)s Barton is still ih\3 directing head of the .concern foUndel by the late Mr Barton. Two- acts quite. new to New Zealand will be making their initial appearance in the Gpldflelds districts, in. the Tbronoski Japanese Troupe, and the Child Wonder, Little Mona, both recent importations of Mrs Barton. The jyork of the first-named is" said to be both .sensational and unique, and in addition it is said to be expensively costumed turn, while the act of Little Mona everywhere wins applause. Her act is said to be a revelation of grace and skill. Great cleverness with tb.3 rope is shown bj( Alix Wyllie, American cowboy, and ihis vorfk in that connexion is said .to be the best seen in any arena since the death of the late Captain McLeod. In his remarkable Risley performance, and later in "The Drunk on ,the Wire," Kokp Kadama shows versatility and dexterity of a high order. In. .his bounding jockey act Edward King -proceeds on unconventional lines, arid his turn serves to introduce some new and original business, while Marvou, Mrs Barton's Australian clown, who heads Jthe team of clowns and dummies proves himself a veritable king o£ hilarity. The comedy acrobatic .turn of the Fremar Bros, with their comedy mare Cora keeps everyone in high good humour ? and a strong supporting programme is provided. Silver King, the highly- • trained Hungarian pony, will appear in a number of new tricks, and "Fun in the Stockyard" will p. ovide f'i:i for the little ones. As always, Mrs Barton guarantees a show entirely clean, and provides a full circus programme in addition to. the buckjumpers which are put on at the conclusion of the circus turns. Tornado heads the crowd of outlaws which solicit a contest with any local rjoughriders. Failing any offering Broncho Jim will give an exhibition ride. The huge canvas will be electrically liglited throughout, and competitions will be held open to local riders.
