GOLDFIELDS CHAMPIONSHIP. The Goldfields Championship Singles competition was played on the Waihi green on Saturday. All clubs in the district, excepting Thames, were represented. Mr C. Fl'ett (Waihi) won the final, after, a closely contested game with Pinder (Paeroa). First Round: Pinder (Paeroa) 26, v. Senior (Karangahake) 12; Flett (Waihi) 19, v. Quinn (Waikino) 19; Morrison (Te Aroha) a bye. Second Round : Pinder 26, v. Quinn 16 ; Flett 18, v. Morrison 12 ; Senior a bye. Third Round : Flett 20, v. Senior 12 ; Quinn 21, v. Morrison 16; Pinder a bye. , Fourth Round : Pinder 18, v. Morrison 11; Quinn 20, v. Senior 15 ; Flett a bye. Final: Flett (Waihi) 24, v. Pinder (Paeroa) 19.
