CRITERION PICTURES.

"THE. WILD-GOOSE CHASE'

Wm. C. de Mille has told a delightful tale of romance and adventure in his successful story "The Wild Goose Chase," and the Lasky four-reel picturisation which will be screened at the Criterion Theatre to-morrow night is said to have caught the spirit of the story to perfection. It is a before-the-war story when romance in sunny France had not been superseded by a serious and warlike spirit. The romantic and rich grandparents leave their respective fortunes to the young people who had emigrated to America, on condition that they marry each other. The freedom of their new home,, however, was in the blood of the younger generation and each refused and each ran away to escape parental pressure. Of course, Fate brought them together, but not before many amusing and exciting adventures, mainly as members of a stranded theatrical company. Miss Ina Claire, of musical comedy fame, is said to be dainty and charming in the leading role.

This star picture is supported by the usual full complement of films, including "By His Rightand His Might" (Comedy) which is an attraction in itself.
