Night's Horrid Plague. —-— +-. — You know what it is. Piles. Nearly drive >ou mad. Hard to bear. Hard to get rid of. : Can't fincl relief. But wait a minute. Yes you can, too. It's a case ol knowing how. Knowing how means relief. It means get>the right thing. It means get Doan's Ointment. Doan's Ointment will do it. All itching skin diseases disappear under the soothing influence ot Doan's Ointment. Here's proof of this :— ftlrs C. Jamieson, Wynward Road, Mt. Eden, Auckland, says :—'" Some six months ago 1 was'suffering terribly from Itching Piles, the pain and irritation being at times almost unbearable. I ti'ied all sorts of remedies in the hope ot gelling relief, but nolhing\sceined to do me any good. One day I heard good reports of Doan's Ointment as a cure lor Piles, so I-bought a pot lo try it. Alter applying this preparation for a few; days the irritation began to ease, so I continued wilh the treatment, with the result that by the time I used two pots all sign of Piles had completely disappeared,-and my suffering was at an end. 1 always keep Doan's Ointment in the house, and use it occasionally just as a prevenlalive against any return. I cannot speak too highly of tins remedy, and recommend it to other sufferers with every confidence." It cannot be repeated too often that Doan's Ointment will cure Piles, it will absolutely cure in every single instance. Then- don't go on- suffering, get this remedy to-day. For sale by all chemists and storekeepers at 3s per pot, or will be posted on receipt ot price by Foster- McClellan Co., 76 Pitt Street, Sydney. But, be sure you get DOAN'S. DRANDED GOODS One of the strongest arguments— perhaps the strongest argument — in favour of buying advertised goods is the implied warranty that the maker is not ashamed ot Ins wares. A hat with the maker's name in it is probably a better hat than a hat by a maker unknown, because unless it were a first class hat the maker would not have put his name there. By doing so he has staked his reputation on the hat. An advertiser is in the same category. He advertises his branded goods ; that is 4.0 say, he declares to all and sundry his responsibility fo.r their quality, their price, and workmanship. So a mc-mber of the public has more confidence m the advertised and branded article because he knows that it would be suicidal for a manufacturer to spend good money in advertising a bad ai tide and so associating his name and reputation with it. Sometimes—it is inevitable —an article proves in use to be less excellent than the reputation of its maker would lead a purchaser to suppose. A piece of bad cloth gets into a suit, an ill-tanned piece of leather into a boot, or a bit of perished rubber into a waterproof. The buyer is then able to appreciate the advantage of having purchased at branded article from an advertiser even more than when all goes well and the article " wears for ever." Because he knows the name and ad dres>s of the maker, he can write to him, send back the goods, and except in, very few cases, is sure of getting redress, since an advertiser is very jealous of his reputation, and would rather replace the article than leave a bad impression on the customer whom he 1 has spent good money in securing. «. .
