NEXT FRIDAY NIGHT.
The circus is billed* to appear in Paeroa, and give a performance only on Friday in the Domain Grounds. Mr R. D. Muirhead, who has been on tour in other countries and Australasia
in search of new artists and sensations, states that Barton Brothers have secured a fine galaxy of talent and up-to-date novelties for this season. The new artists will include the Ash'ton Company, comprising six young ladies ; the celebrated Waldorf troupe of eight pyramid
performers, direct from Felh's circus, South Africa ; Miss Ethel Ashton, greatest all-round circus artist ; Miss Gladys St. Clare, lady sword walker'; Miss Stella, the dashing hurdle rider ; Miss Vera,
fascinating young lady equestrienne ; Master Lindsay ; the Wislang brothers, three in number, elite acrobats, tumblers, gymnasts, and high leapers ; Francis Roy Barton, bareback rider ; not forgetting, king of all clowns, Happy Jackles, late of Bostock and Wombwells' English • circus, with his performing dogs and monkeys. The rough riding item of Harry, the Australian rough rider, is one ot the notable features of the show. He is the
winner ot over 50 rousjh riding competitions in Queensland. Harry will ride celebrated outlaws, and will stake to ride any outlaw or buck-jumper in an English hunting saddle. A challenge of is extended to all other riders. All outlaws will be ridden free, and the management will purchase all good buckjumpers.
