The inter-club match between Paeroa and Waihi, arranged for last Saturday, was postponed on account ot the weather. Paeroa players, however, were determined to have a "roll up," and quite a large number assembled on the green. Although the ground was a bit sloppy, some fairiy good games were played. Thames defeated Karangahake on Saturday by 12 points. The match was played at Karangahake. A Paeroa rink will make the trip to Thames on Wednesday to endeavour to secure the Goldfiekts challenge stars. The Paeroa team consists of Hamilton, Bray, Allan, and McWatters (skip). On Saturday last the Paeroa stars team played another Paeroa rink consisting of Clews, Dunlop, G. H. Taylor,- and Evitt (skip), the stars team just winning by one point. The Paeroa teams to take part in the Paeroa tournament on Saturday and Monday next are as follows ; —Glews, Shaw, McWatters, Evitt (skip); Balcke, Ellis, Allan, Bray (skip); Olson, Towers, W. Taylor, Hamilton (skip). An inter-club match between Paeroa and Thames will probably be played at Thames on March Bth. In the tournament at Rotorua last week the tull-rink competition, was won Karangahake (Hilton), who defeated Carlton (Holmes) in the final by 23 points to 12. The Karangahake team consisted of Guthrie, Waddell, Jury and Hilton (skip). A great reception was accorded the victorious Karangahake players when they returned to their own green on Saturday afternoon.
