THE CARGO SAVED.

'. While coming down the Waihou River from Te Aroha yesterday afternoon a barge being towed by the river steamer Rolokohu capsized. The imshap was caused by the barge striking a stump in the river, thus making a hole in the vessel's bottom. - The barge was loaded with 23 cases of tallow, three cases of bacon, 42 bundles ol skins, and five cases of honey. AH the cargo, with the exception of one cask ot tallow, was saved. Captain McDonald was in charge oi the Rotokohu at the time oi the accident, which took place just below MangaUi.
