LOCAL ELECTIONS.
Mr W. H. Potts, returning officer for Thames County, notifies that the election of members of the Thames County Gouncil in those ridings in which there are contests will take place on Wednesday next. Those members who have had no opposition in their candidature are declared duly elected. . ,
Candidates for the Ohinemuri County Council and for the positions of representatives of Ohinemuri on the Thames Hospital Board are busily hunting up their friends and supporters for the poll on Wednesday next. Some interesting
contests are anticipated,
Mr F. M. Strange, who has been one ot the representatives of Ohinemuri County on the Thames Hospital Board for three years past, announces that he is again a candidate for a seat on the board, and trusts that his past actions will justify a renewal of confidence.
Mr C. Franklin, who has been returned unopposed as a member of the Ohinemuri County Council for the Waikino Riding, announces that he is seek-
ing re-election as a representative of the County on the Thames Hospital and Charitable.Aid Board, and ,trusts that his actions in the past while a member of the Board will merit the confidence
of the ratepayers,
