ALLEGED PERJURY.
POLICEMAN COMMITTED
FOR TRIAL.

Greymouth, December 6,
Constable White, of Otira, was committed for trial this morning after a lengthy hearing,, on a charge of perjury, alleged to have been committed in the Grey Magistrate's Court on November 21, when giving evidence against Dennis Moynihan, proprietor of the Otira Accommodation House, for an alleged breach of the Licensing Act, which was dismissed. Mr M. Hannan prosecuted on a private information, and Mr Beare, of Hokitika, defended. Bail was granted accused, viz., ,£SO, and two sureties of .£25 each.
