A Waihi correspondent writes: "A marriage was celebrated at the residence of the bride's father, Aongatete, between Mr Thomas John Mulgrew, only surviving son of the late Mr W. ]. Stone and the bride's little sister, weie gowned in white deiaine trimmed with ribbon and wore gold brooches presented by the bridegroom. The presents were numerous and useful. Later in the afternoon the couple left for Te Aroha. The bride wore a blue serge travelling dress, with velvet toque to match."
