Cox's Pride of Scotland (imp.) as a yearling took first, prize at Johnstone, first at Barrhead,. first at Hamilton, first at Kilbridc, and first at Ayr. As a two-year-old he gained first priz-i at Hamilton, Kilbride, Barrhead, mid Maryhill shows. In Victoria he gained f) rst pris;o as a two-year-old at Ballarafc, competing against three-year-olds ; a prize of £» at Smoaton ; and a prize of £o for the best two-yea-old at Grand National Show, Sandhurst. Pride's Darling gained f? rsfc at Dunedin Show in ISSO, and first prize at Taieri Show in 18S6 ; also, first prize at Duuediri Show in 1887, ai: d first at Taieri the same year. In 188S she gained first prize at Taieri, and was afterwards sold to McLean Bros, of Hawko's Bay. Bay maie Violet, by Lord Palmers ton, dam Jess, by Young Prince Charlie. Honduras is a rich brown, stands 16 hands 1£ inches, and is one of the most evenly balanced and handsomest horses in the colony. He is compactly and syinotricaily built, strong in the quarters, with legs like iron. He has immense bone power, and a beautiful mild temper. For tlie past five years he has been the leading sire cf the Honduras trotting and breeding syndicate, with, good results, leaving several winners, viz, Black Star, Enterprise, Olotilde, and others, and numerous prize-takers. Honduras has never been beaten in the Show ring. As a two-year-old he gained first at Tiniaru, and two firsts in Canterbury, as a three-year^-pld, aud. sis first prices in-Nelson-and' Richmond since, while his stock have taken first prizes as weight carriers, hackneys, dogcart horses, and express horses. Honduras while in "training won tho following races:— Seddonvillo Handicap, 1-J miles, beating Strachconan, Yauxhall, Index, Monte Christo, and Nancy Lee ; time, 4min 13300. Won Ladies' Bracelet, at Nelson, 2 miles, beating four others ; time, smin 3sec. Won Richmond Park: Handicap, If miles, beating three others. Won Westland Handicap, 2 miles, beating five others. Won Bigh-class Handicap, at Nelson, 2 miles, beating three others. Won Nelson Saddle Trot, U- miles, beating eight others. Won the Electric Handicap, at Auckland, 1 mile, beat- ! ing Waitekauri, The Joker, Vioatta, Black Bess, Slim Jim, Fibre, K.D., and Autocrat (won easily). Won Blenheim Handicap, 1£ miles, boating five others. Honduras' performances in full are eight times first, four times second, three times third, and twice unplaced. Terms-.
