WHARF AT KOPU.
At last night's "meeting of the Thames Harbour Board, the following letter from Messrs Finlay, Dalziell and Go., barristers and solicitors, Wellington, was read : — Re Taupo Totara Timber Company and Kopu Wharf: We are in receipt of yours,, of 4th insfc. hereon for which we thank you. As to the board's suggestion regarding the advisability of making allowance in the construction of the wharf for higher spring tides, we are instructed to inform you that this matter will have the attention of the company's engineers. Before accepting unconditionally all the board's stipulations, we are instructed to submit to our clients a draft license. We may say, however, in the main conditions will be agreed to. Certain subsidiary matters can best be determined when the draft license is submitted to your board and its advisers. The. suggested arrangements with Messrs R. P.
