ACOUSED BEFORE THE COURT.

Charles Anderson was charged at the Police Court this morning, before Mr Joseph Nathan, J.P., with breaking and entering Messrs W. Cutyen and Go's pretnises on Saturday morning. Constable Whelan aske4 for a rernand,Qf eight days in order to prepare the case againsfc accused, who was arrested at Te 4-rohq, on Satqrday night. A remand for eight days was granted by the Bench. Accused then asked for bait Constable Whelan said he would not oppose bail so long as it wa« made substantial. Accused-said' he was not known in this district and feared he could not get substantial bail. Bail was eventually-allowed in two sureties oE LSO each, and accused in a like amount.
