MACK AYTOWIf SPORTS. An oxcellent programme of events has been prepared for the sports to-be held at Mackaytown on November 9th, Prince of Wales' Birthday. Horse races, foot races, bicycle races, and fire brigade competitions will be the order of the day, and as a strong committee is in charge the sports should prove highly successful. Nominations close on Saturday next with the secretary, Mr A. Ellis. WAITEKAURI SPORTS.

The Waitekauri Athletic Club held their annual sports meeting at the Recreation Ground on Saturday last. - v There was a fair attendance, and the sports were of an interesting nature. The various officials performed their duties in a satisfactory manner, the energetic secretary, Mr D. Simpson, being especially prominent. The following are the results :— Cup, 200yds.—Kennedy, 22yds, 1 ; Boyd, 21yds, 2. Mile Bicycle.—W. Oats, 50yds, 1 ; D. Smeaton, 110 yds, 2. Tug or War.—Won by the Golden Cross team. Half Mile.—W. Markwick, 50yds, 1 j W. Wyatt, 55yds, 2. Friendly Societies' Race, 120 yds. —Kennedy, Byds, 1 ; Walker, scratch, 2. Two Milk Bicyolis Race.—Draffin, 120 yds, 1; Oats, 30yds, 2. Mile Race.—J. Tanner, 45yds, 1; GiU, 65yds, 2.
