A number of (Vie.) Thrift 6lec"tors succeeded in getting their names on the latest ratepayers-roll by sending up cheques 'for rates due at the last moment. Their •.names were inserted, and their cheques subsequently came back to the local Council ..marked "n.s f:" Which doesn't mean "not sufficient ifont."
