B* Drop Kick;

The match between the Paeroa Football Club and the Boughs and' Muffs was played last Saturday, and resulted in a win for the former by 10 poiiits to 2. The club put a very weak team in the field, while their opponents played with 14 men. Kusden and McDuff captained the Club and Roughs respectively. McDuff woa the, toss, and decided to defend the lop goal, having the sun at their backs. In the first spell the Club had the best of the game, Moore and Littlejohn scoring a try each, both of which Coote converted; while for the losers Stewart scored, the attempt at goal being a failnre. The speU thus ended: Paeroa 10, Boughs and Muffs 2. In the second spell the Roughs tried hard to score, Stewart, Mellis, and Hill being particularly noticed for the forward rushes, and McDuff, McConnell, and O'Toole for their good play among the backs; but their efforts were fruitless, aa they were forced time after time. The Club had bad luck also in not vscoring, the game ending as above. Mr H. Potter gave every satisfaction as referee. For the winners, all the backs played well; among the forwards Moore, J. McGoire, Gibbons, < Rusden, Littlejohn, and Mahoney were noticeable for their good all-round play. For the losers, O'Toole was safe at full, his collaring, running; \ and kicking was first-class, in fact, he
