I am .glad to inform you that ;your articles have led to the formation of at least one, and I hope more, of these useful co-operations. A number ■of local people have taken one particular piece of ground at Waitekauri, and intend to prospect this on the true co-operative principle, of course "Under proper supervision by a com•mittee elected by the subscribers to the venture. Ido not believe in the Prospecting Associations which engage parties, giving them a roving commission over the whole country at their* own sweet-willj but such as has. been started at Waitekauri, and about which ..you will probably hear more shortly, is a right step in a right direction.— -I am, &c, ..•;..
