Elderly Invalids Burned to Death
Rec. 6.20 p.m. NEW YORK, Dec. 24. Ten elderly inmates, most of them helpless invalids, were burned to death yesterday in a fire which destroyed a convalescent home near Amarillo, Texas. There were 45 patients in the home, but 35 got out safely, although some suffered burns.
