LIMIT ON USE

“ Wonder Drugs” In

Australia

N ZPA—Copyright ADELAIDE, Dec. 21

Because of fears of a world war, the use in Australia of three imported so-called wonder drugs will be limited to cases in which drugs are necessary to save life. The United States, now under a State national emergency, is the only source of aureomycin and Chloromycetin. Australia has been importing supplies of streptomycin from Britain. War fears are expected to result in Britain and America either completely banning or severely restricting the export of the drugs. Committees controlling the use of drugs will be set ud in every Australian State.
