RIVER REPORTS

Good Sport Indicated Telegraphic river reports received Sesterday indicate that conditions in ie Wyndham district are perfect. It is thought that the Mataura River has recovered from recent freshes and should fish well over the holidays. The Waipahi River is a little below normal level, but the weed may be a little troublesome in this stream. The Pomahaka and Catlins, Rivers are clear and in perfect order, but the Owaka River is low ar»d weedy. The Shag River is reported to be clear and in perfect order and recently fish have been observed well up above the tidal reaches. Mahinerangi dam has been fishing well, particularly to the bait and minnow, and a few fish have also been taken on the fly.. The weather is reported to be fine in all districts, with a strong prevailing wind in the Pomahaka area. The recent freshes in the streams will have done a lot of good and anglers can look forward to some good sport during the holiday period.
