Principal Event At Tapanui Meeting Tomorrow

The Tapanui meeting will be held tomorrow, and it was reported last night that the going would be in good order. Judged from the minor circuit point of view, the fields are quite satisfactory and the racing should be interesting. The doubles will be run on the Dwyer Memorial Handicap and the Stewards’ Hack Handicap, and horses likely to be in favour are:— 11.45: Tapanui High-weight Handicap. —Home Circle, Kleve, Don’t Listen. 12.30: Trial Handicap.— Emerald Chief, Boswell’s Pride, Royal Sapphire. 1.15: Mclntyre Trot.— Cubit, the Phineas bracket. 2.00: Dwyer Memorial Handicap. —Banquet, New World, Urbino. 2.45: Tapanui Handicap. —Cogitation, String Band, Social News. 3.30: Fassifern Trot. —Cubit, Brooksby-Hall bracket, Critic. 4.15: Stewards’ Handicap. —Gay John, Golden Wonder, Don’t Listen. 5.00: Quin Memorial Handicap. —Baygundi, Merry Lancer, String Band.
