Man’s Body Found At Purakanui

Allan Wright, aged 51, a joiner, of Purakanui, was found dead near “ the gut ” at the north end of Long Beach on Saturday. It was presumed that he had been drowned. Wright left his crib at Purakanui about 9 p.m. on Friday and did not return. A search was instituted on Saturday and his body was discovered. An inquest was ppened yesterday before Mr J. G. Warrington, S.M., for identification purposes.
