MIGRANTS BY AIR

British Tradesmen And Dutch Farm Workers PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 7. Because of the urgent need for tradesmen on hydro-electric works and the need for the early completion of transit accommodation for immigrants, together with the existing shortage of sea 'transport, the Government has decided to arrange for a number of United Kingdom migrants to travel to New Zealand by air. Announcing this today, the Minister of Immigration, Mr Sullivan, said it was expected that the total number to be transported by air would be approximately 130, consisting mainly of carpenters, with a small number of plumbers and electricians. The Minister also announced that a party of 55 Dutch settlers to work in dairy factories would arrive by air on December 20.
