KING’S COLLAPSES
Convincing Win By Wailaki ANNUAL CRICKET MATCH Special to the Daily Times OAMARU, Dec. 7. A win by an innings and 106 runs was secured by Waitaki Boys’ High School in its annual cricket match against King’s High School, which was completed at Waitaki today. Yesterday, Waitaki made 271 runs, and at stumps King’s had tost five wickets for 26 runs. Continuing this morning, King’s was dismissed for 84 runs, A. Hayes contributing 33, which included five 4’s. King’s was forced to follow on and at the luncheon adjournment had lost one wicket without scoring. This afternoon the side opened cautiously, but eventually collapsed to be dismissed at about 5 p.m. for 81. W. Duff, an opening bat. was top scorer with 37. which included four 4’s. Fulcher and Glendining, for Waitaki, took four for 9 off 13 overs and two for 1 off eight overs, seven of which were maidens, respectively. Scores: — WAITAKI First innings 271 KING’S First Innings P.
