HOTEL LICENCES
Transfers Approved Four permanent transfers of Dunedin publicans’ licences were approved yesterday by the Dunedin Licensing Committee at its quarterly meeting which lasted three minutes. The police reports were satisfactory. The transfers approved were— : Captain Cook Hotel, H. T. James to W. E. G. McDowell; Rugby Hotel, H. Wilson to C. G. Mountney; Hotel Dunedin, H. C. Howes to H. M. Morton; City Hotel, L. F. McCormack to C. S. Elms. Members of the committee were Messrs J. D. Willis, S.M. (chairman), G. W. Lane, H. A. Newall and J. McCrae. Senior Sergeant E. J. C. Hay appeared for the police
