NO EXCUSE FOR DRUNKEN DRIVING
COPENHAGEN. Penalties for driving a car while under the influence of drink are to be increased because of a new service started here for Danish motorists. Any driver who feels he has enjoyed a party too much can ring up a number and have himself driven home for the equivalent of 6d a kilometre (fiveeighths of a mile). Police say there is now no excuse for drunken driving.—Reuter.
