Protest Meeting To Be Held On Wednesday PA CHRfsTCHURCH, Nov. 18. All trams and buses will stop in Christchurch for a period on Wednesday afternoon,'when tramwaymen will hold a stop-work meeting as a protest against the dismissal of a tramwayman who was reported to have been on licensed premises before he started work on 9. A secret ballot to decide whether the men will strike on the issue is expected to be taken at the meeting. , Both the national president, Mr W. Richards, of Ljunedin, and the national secretary, Mr ( P. A. Hansen, will attend. The time the meeting will start will be decided by the executive of the Christchurch branch of the union, but it is not/expected to start before mid-day. *
