SOUTH OTAGO ROADS
Provision For Improvements
Parliamentary Reporter WELLINGTON, Oct. 17.
There was a sum of £SOOO provided this year for. improvements to the Bal-clutha-Kaka Point road, said the Minister of Works, Mr Goosman, replying to Mr J. A! Roy (Govt., Clutha), in the House of Representatives tonight. Mr Roy also raised the matter of a road approaching the South Otago Hospital which, he said, was dusty and dangerous in summer. Mr Goosman replied that this stretch was a borough road and not a State responsibility. Some of the sealing from Clinton to Waipahi should be completed this year.
