American Loan For Persia

NZPA—Reuter—Copyright Rec. 7 p.m. TEHERAN, Oct. 10. The American Import and Export Bank has granted Persia a 25,000,000 dollar loan to improve its roads, communications and agriculture, the Prime Minister, General Haji Ali Razmara, announced today. He added that trade talks with the Soviet were continuing. The signing of a big trade pact between Persia and the Soviet was reported on October 7 by usually reliable sources. Among the points reported to have been agreed upon was the Russian proposal that a joint Soviet-Persian commission should decide the future of 11 tons of Persian gold and 8,000,000 dollars which have been held in the Moscow State Bank since the war.
