Scotsman To Defy Wellington’s Winds

Special Correspondent WELLINGTON, Oct. 11,

Andrew Dryburgh stepped off the Rangitiki from Britain today wearing a kilt and announced that he intended to go on using the kilt for everyday wear. He ha# come to join the Meteorological Office, Wellington. His last job was at Khartoum, in the Egyptian Sudan. He has recently been home to Scotland, and has come straight from there with his wife and family of three to establish himself in Wellington. Mr Dryburgh now bids to become Wellington’# only daily wearer of the kilt—until Wellington’s winds discourage him.
