18-year-old Daughter Of Persian Dignitary

TEHERAN, Oct. 9. Persian newspapers reported today that Shah Mohammed Reza Pahlevi, 81-year-old ruler of Persia, who divorced King Farouk’s sister. Princess Fawzia, in 1948, will wed an 18-year-old girl he met briefly when she was 16.

Reports named his bride as Soraya Esfandiari, the dark striking daughter of a high Persian dignitary and a German mother.
