Centennial Celebrations

PA CHRISTCHURCH, Oct. 10. Christ’s College centennial celebrations, which are being attended by over 1000 old boys from all over New Zealand and some from Australia, opened in Christchurch today. Shooting, golf and bowls events were held followed by a sherry party for old boys, the staff and their wives and others connected with the school. Historical lantern slides were shown in the evening. Other sports events will be held tomorrow and on Thursday the Gover-nor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, will lay the foundation stone of the war memorial.
