Large Sum Staked

The sum of £10,259 was invested on the double machine at Forbury Park on Saturday, the winning combination of Gay Knight (King George Handicap) and Aqua Lady (Dominion Handicap) returning a dividend of £416 for £l. Mobile Globe carried 3857 10s tickets, being followed by First Lord 3423, Systematic 3024, Islaburn Lass 2958, Fabric Silk and Prince Hall bracket 2232, Fortuna 1464, Gay Knight 1093, Beckleigh 762, Duncraig 570, Bonny Scott 443, Democrat 399, and Premier Royal 345. Four tickets were not redeemed for the second leg, 41 tickets were reinvested on the winner, Aqua Lady, and the other tickets were distributed as follows:—Red Anthony 323, Pierre-Sandy Ridge bracket 201, Josedale Audubon 110, Goldina and Hall Ace 54, Bull’s Eye 38, Allanah 32, Fillmore and Gay Note 15, GoldsmithSahara Queen bracket 14, Fanciful 13, Melton 12, and Clueless 6.
